Sony Legacy to test repackaged Bob Dylan CD with limited retailers (Photos)

Sony Legacy is reissuing the 2007 single CD version of the compilation album ?Dylan,? in a new 8 inch by 8 inch package.

Here is what is known so far:

• According to a note enclosed with the copy sent to me by someone at Sony, this release features a packaging concept being tested with a ?few retailers.?
• This ?Collector?s Edition? package features enhanced graphics with an 8? x 8? sized booklet.
• For those who missed it the first time around, the booklet features photographs, pictures of the appropriate 45 r.p.m. record labels, original release date information, and liner notes by Bill Flanagan.

The track listing replicates the single CD version with 18 tracks. All songs were written by Bob Dylan, except where noted:

In other news, it appears the four-CD box set version of ?The Last Waltz,? featuring Dylan performing ?Hazel? and other songs with The Band, is to be reissued on 9 September at a budget price, in new packaging, as part of Rhino Record?s reissue program (at least in the U.K.), according to Super Deluxe Edition.
